start menu preferences console

Fri Mar 10, 2017 11:52 am

hi all,
im looking at removing the start menu, most likely by setting to auto hide then changing the height to 0 pixels or 1 if 0 isnt allowed.
but my concern is when i want to put the start menu back on, how will i access it if i cannot see it? where is the actual settings file for it? can i change it back through console? or is there a better way to disable without resizing it.. just using auto hide shows it on boot until the mouse is moved as the default mouse location is on the start menu, and im not using a mouse.

Have you tried pressing the "windows" key when the menu is hidden?
On many platforms this brings up the OS specific version of the "Start Menu"

sigh.... There we go again! This isn't an accessibility for the disabled subject.

There are plenty of warning in this section not to post here. viewtopic.php?p=1006518#p1006518

Normally I would simply delete the offending post....
