Trend BMS Outstation

Wed Mar 01, 2017 11:32 am

Hi All,

A little bit niche, but has anybody set up a Rasberry Pi as a Trend 963 BMS head end?

I'm thinking of putting one together with a touch screen and case to mount on the wall in a Plant Room as a head end to view and adjust the BMS for that plant room (and theoretically the whole system if you were that way inclined) but am unsure if the web based Trend Viewer will work particularly well on a RPi?

It won't operate as a head end but I don't see any reason that the web viewer wouldn't work.

Give it a try, you may need to try a few different browsers before you find the best one for the web view pages.

Epiphany
kweb
Iceweasel
chromium
luakit

I'm sure that there are others that I have missed.

Start with a Pi3 and a normal monitor and expand to the touchscreen once you have it working.
