You cannot without asking a mod. Just stick with it or create a new account. It's the easiest.

Even a mod cannot do what you want, simply abandon you old username, and create a new one.

Anyone who can write directly to that database column should be able to change it. Which is to say, anyone who has "root" access.

Create a new account with whatever name you like.

Forget the old one.
