Pi Zero sizzling cracking noise using usb-audio

Fri Feb 17, 2017 3:06 pm

I am proud to build an raspberry-mp3 player :)
but the sound does not convince me.
To be concrete: there is a terrible sizzling cracking noise playing sound through usb-audio
cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [Device ]: USB-Audio - USB PnP Sound Device
C-Media Electronics Inc. USB PnP Sound Device at usb-20980000.usb-1.4, full spe

what helps is configuring asound to use only 39000 Hz
pcm.dmixer {
type dmix
ipc_key 1024
slave {
pcm "hw:0"
period_size 4096
buffer_size 88200
rate 39000
}
bindings {
0 0
1 1
}
}

how is it not possible to use 44100 Hz?
I allready set in /boot/config.txt
dwc_otg.speed=1

i am using
Linux minibian2 4.4.48+ #964 Mon Feb 13 16:50:25 GMT 2017 armv6l GNU/Linux
cat /proc/cpuinfo

Oh, seems i got a solution,
chaning asound.conf to

Code: Select all

pcm.!default {
type asym
playback.pcm {
type plug
slave.pcm "hw:0,0"
}
capture.pcm {
type plug
slave.pcm "hw:0,0"
}
}
