Raspberry Pi runtime

Fri Feb 17, 2017 5:42 am

I may have deleted the default runtime files in an attempt to format the sd card all of the data is on. :? I tried to download and burn raspbian pixel and lite onto the sd card, but every time I try to launch the raspberry pi it will not turn on. How can I fix that?

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org

The site where you download the image of the Operating System also has instructions about how to install the image: https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/

You do not need to remove any files or format the SD card before writing the ".img" file to it. The image contains all the required partitions and formatting all done for you and it will overwrite anything you have done.
