delay/repeat on a Mac wireless keyboard (bluetooth)

Thu Feb 09, 2017 2:05 pm

Connected today an Mac wireless keyboard to my new Raspberry Pi 3 build running fresh latest Raspbian.

On first connect attempt it failed - GDbus.error...ConnectionAttemptFailed , second attempt was successful though

Although the keyboard is working, it behaves very strangely and is in practice unusable. The delay is like 1-3 seconds for any key press, and sometimes a key repeat itselves until another key is pressed. Connectivity is probably not the problem as its no difference if I stand 1 feet away from the raspberry

Similar problem is described in many threads over the years in Apple forums, but solutions are very vauge and on case-to-case basis. E.g https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1350072?tstart=0

Tried to connect the keyboard to OSX computer and it worked just fine, so no hardware defect.

Any ideas, or where to start troubleshoot? Thanks in advance for input!

Posted more about this matter here, when I much later found more information from others' observations with the same problem: viewtopic.php?f=66&t=180149&p=1169545#p1169545
