Simple video editing using Pi 3

Mon Jan 30, 2017 8:22 pm

Is it possible to edit videos on raspberry pi ?
Suppose I have stored more than 1 video recording on SD card using Pi camera and then just want to edit (not any kind of transitions or effects just a simple cut) those videos along with a single 2-3 min song and at the end create the third edited video. How to do this ?

PS: here edit means I don't want to make any high end videos, just a simple cut of recorded videos, for example few sec clip from 1 video-A and then few seconds clips from another video-B, again few seconds clip from video-C and then store the final edit video on the SD card as video-D. so the video-D has some clips of videos A,B and C along with a good song.

Please help.

Thanks a lot.

You can do all that on the command line with something like avconv. So yes, you can do it.
