I have a PI B 2 - I haven't used it in a while and just grabbed the first usb power supply I Found (I moved - everything is in boxes) - It booted up and I did some work on it. I saw the colored square up in the right hand corner but ignored it - I now know it is a low power indication.
After a while when it booted it showed a warning, which I did not write down, something about controllers not being there<?>
Then it stopped recognizing the usb keyboard and mouse. The mouse has an led in it and it no longer lights on any usb socket - but my computer's usb port lights it.
I tried plugging in a ethernet cable - but the green light on the socket is not lit - and the router doesn't see the connection.
I plugged in my phones charger which is rated at 2 amps - but the ports still don't work.
I downloaded and tried booting on all of the current distributions - the pixel and noobs show a graphic screen but they are not useable since the mouse doesn't work.
The others show a tty enabled before the login prompt - but since my keyboard doesn't work now I can't enter anything. My current desktop box doesn't have a serial port anymore - so I have not anything with that....
Have I killed my PI with the low powered adapter?
Is there anything I can do to fix/resurrect it - i'll try anything.
Is there any way to figure out what broke and needs to be replaced?
