HELP! Raspberry Pi Audio not Working!

Fri Dec 09, 2016 1:46 am

Hello, my name is Brandon, and recently I started a project by Steven Hickson. It was a voice command software for the Raspberry Pi, and i thought it would be cool to have that, so I followed his instructions. Sadly, when I got to the part where I had to install the Voice Command Software the terminal asked me if i wanted to test the audio to make sure I could hear audio. I plugged in my Apple Ear Pods, set the audio settings to analog, and typed 'y' to signify I wanted to test the audio. Sadly, I could not hear anything.
Oddly, I can hear YouTube videos on the Raspberry Pi with the Ear Pods, but not the test audio. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks for the help in advance! :)

Give a link to the tutorial.
Show exactly what commands you are trying to use.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.
