Very unsure of terminology I should be using here...
I have a Pi3b based robot with a static IP connected to the local network which works fine for viewing camera output and for control of motors and reading sensors etc via SSH and HTTP web content on the Pi.
I want to run it anywhere and connect directly to the Pi via wifi with a lap top or a phone without the Pi3b connecting to a wifi network. so sort of as its own wifi single connection server, serving camera images etc as it does when connected to the local network. (connecting to the internet is not required most of the time)
I think I want it to be its own wifi accessable network as a LAN with no need for a WAN except when its "at home"
At the moment I connect to it locally as 192.168.x.x:88 for html content
and via SSH on the standard port. I sort of want to do the same without the local network being present.
How do I do this in Raspbain Jessie.
