How to install Universal G-code Sender

i see the forum topic

Problem is it is 3 years old and the item 6) does nothing but return an error in a terminal.

I posted a generic information request here:

but the answer says nothing very useful except to look around for the correct code.

I looked further and discovered this which is the best of many

However, it too seems obsolete as the link for the .zip file returns 404.

I was able to install both FreeCAD and KiCAD on my RPi 3B but I need help to install the UGCS.

Being directed to people to ask and expect a fully workable answer would be welcome.
