Mon Oct 03, 2016 10:18 pm

I want to run raspbian jessie on a pc at home, because i want connect from any place with my raspberry (os: raspbian jessie) to my "workstation" configured network opportunately. That one to use raspbian as OS is a whim.
Thanks in advance.

Get DebIan Jessie, that's the closest PC distro to the Raspberry's Raspbian distro. Or get Ubuntu, because it's more sane than DebIan and close enough.

Raspian Jessie is based on Debian Jessie and the LXDE user interface. Ubuntu is based on Debian and is available with several user interfaces. The closest Ubuntu user interface is LXDE in the Lubuntu variation of Ubuntu.

Ubuntu can also run MATE. Ubuntu MATE is available for your Pi but MATE is too heavy for a Pi.

Linux Mint is Ubuntu with some better maintenance. Linux Mint is available with Cinnamon and MATE, with both interfaces looking similar to the Raspbian user interface. Based on my experience of all the options, Linux Mint Cinnamon is the best option for the desktop and works similar to LXDE in Raspbian.

When you want help with Raspbian, Ubuntu, or Linux Mint, you can look in forums for any of the three and the help is similar because there are very few configuration differences. There are slight differences in startup scripts across the three and that is about it. Debian Jessie is used in Ubuntu 16 and Linux Mint 18. Make sure any documentation refers to those versions.
