Mon Oct 03, 2016 8:44 am

I stumbled upon slashdot interview with Eben
https://hardware.slashdot.org/story/16/ ... eben-upton
overall good questions and good answers :-)

Anyone knows what this sentence means?
We do have a neat software hack for higher SD card performance that we hope to roll out in the near future
Overclocking SD bus to 100MHz by default or something else?

First thing I've seen on /. in a long time that's worth reading.

*Very* interesting. Contains a particular tidbit that has been speculated about...he says that the Pi3A *will* have WiFi/BT on it. It had been surmised that it would, but nice to see that confirmed so one can say (when it comes up), "Eben has said..."

Thanks for sharing. Sad to see that there is no plan to decrease power consumption. It is hard to interface Pi with sensors without a low power consumption mode (e.g. advanced version of the solution used by sleepy pi).

This ^^^. My first thought was, "slashdot still exists?" Cool that they got this interview.

Wireless he said. Whether that means Wifi or BT or both?

If the Pi3B uses a single chip and a single antenna for both (I think that's the case), one might presume the Pi3A will do the same.

Or it might just mean it can receive Radio 4 ;)

I assume so as well, but since on the Pi3B only one of WiFi or Bluetooth seems to work (reliably) at a time, I'm not sure it makes a difference.
