VPN Using the Native Win10 Software

Sun Aug 21, 2016 8:34 pm

I've done a lot of searching for a VPN that is compatible with the native Windows 10 VPN software, but haven't been able to find much. I've used LogMeInHamachi, but I didn't want to use another program. I set up OpenVPN trying to accomplish this, only to realize that I still needed another program.

Do you all have any suggestions? Does such a software even exist? Is there a tutorial I could follow somewhere?

Thank you for your input.

You'll need to look at what VPN protocols the Windows 10 client supports then look for server software that works with it. Previously the main protocol windows would support was PPTP and there are some servers around for this, However they might require compiling from source (and may need kernel options being enabled). PPTP can also have issues going through NAT as the GRE protocol isn't always supported by nat devices.
