Has anyone been able to take a video being transmitted via HDMI, input that signal into a Pi, and send it to a video recorder?
Thank you from a newbie Joe R.
Not possible, the RPi has no video or audio input of any kind.JoeHorseRider wrote:Has anyone been able to take a video being transmitted via HDMI, input that signal into a Pi, and send it to a video recorder?

There exist USB capture devices priced 100 to 200 US dollars that will accept unencrypted HDMI input from a video game console or video camera. However, it is not clear of any of these are compatible with the Raspberry Pi. There are a few interesting comments about getting HDMI video onto a Pi on a failed kickstarter page.JoeHorseRider wrote:Has anyone been able to take a video being transmitted via HDMI, input that signal into a Pi, and send it to a video recorder?
