How to get PokeMMO running on the Raspberry Pi2 or Pi3 :

1: If you've not yet enabled the experimental OpenGL driver then follow steps 1-5 here :

viewtopic.php?t=137279

2: Download 2 install scripts :

Code: Select all

cd ~/Downloads && wget https://www.dropbox.com/s/acnv1ts4y00pv6c/InstallPokemmo1.sh && wget https://www.dropbox.com/s/pgtas3o5gpex217/InstallPokemmo2.sh && chmod +x InstallPokemmo1.sh && chmod +x InstallPokemmo2.sh
3: Install PokeMMO (this will throw an error, use CTRL-C to exit) :

Code: Select all

./InstallPokemmo1.sh
4: Update the OpenGL libraries :

Code: Select all

./InstallPokemmo2.sh
5: You will need to register for an account on https://pokemmo.eu

6: You will also need locate a Pokemon Red Fire Game Boy Advance rom. I can't help with this - try googling 'pokemon red fire rom gba'

7: Run

Code: Select all

pokemmo-launcher

No, sorry, Pi Zero won't run OpenGL.

I am getting the following error when trying to run pokemmo-launcher

Unable to init server: could not connect: connection refused

chmod: cannot access /home/pi/.pokemmo/PokeMMO.sh no such file or directory

I had a look through samba and it doesn't seem to have created the /.pokemmo/PokeMMO.sh even though I followed the tutorial exactly, any ideas?

**edit
After coming off of the terminal and viewing file directories on desktop the /.pokemmo folder exists but the PokeMMO.sh file doesn't seem to be being created, I am unsure if this is a permissions issue or of it is something wrong with how I am setting up. Any ideas? Or is there somewhere I could download the PokeMMO.sh file and place it into the correct repository to see if it works?

I am getting an error on both steps 3 and 4 saying that it is corrupt. Any suggestions?
