Getting W10 IoT to start

Thu Jul 07, 2016 2:27 pm

So I have created the Micro SD with image via dashboard tool and loaded it to Rpi 2. Green light flashes for a few seconds but nothing happens on screen. Laptop version is correct, and card is supported. any ideas folks? Thanks in advance.

how long did you wait?
the release build 10586 needs a long time to setup just after the very first boot... (depending on version of RPi and SD card)
give it 30 minutes time...
if you still see no result, then you have a problem.

the newest insider preview (e.g. build 14366) boots way quicker / the image is preconfigured in a better way with less timeconsuming setup process for initial boot.

PS.: maybe it is not taking that long time anymore, but that's what is my remember to my very first installation of that release monthe ago.
possibly microsoft published a new image of the release in the meantime, that is already booting quicker like the insider previews.... i don't know.
{ I only give negative feedback }

Thanks beta,

I've been away couple of weeks (and thought I was 'Watching' for replies - wasn't!) I did wait a fair amount of time. I plan to just try again (tomorrow in fact)

Thanks again, apologies for not replying sooner.

Just retried. No difference, Installer had an update, downloaded W10 to card. Over an hour, nothing. Not on insider build. Will keep looking...
