How do you connect an AD620 signal amplifier to a load cell?

Tue Jul 05, 2016 6:12 am

Load Cell: http://www.uxcell.com/05kg-weighing-loa ... 26351.html

AD620 Datasheet: http://www.analog.com/en/products/ampli ... t-overview

I think I connect the red and black wires to pins 2 and 3 on the amp respectively; I am unsure what to do with the green and white wires. Can anyone help me here? Thank you very much.

Hello,
these devices form a wheatstone bridge https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheatstone_bridge.

See the datasheet HX711 ( https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sen ... nglish.pdf ) for a connection sample.
So 2 connections are for the diff amp, one is GND, other is Vcc.

For your amplifier, you need additional ADC to connect this to Raspberry Pi.

Regards,
Gerhard
