Kedei 3.5 inch SPI TFTLCD

Sun Jul 03, 2016 11:53 am

Hi i have just bought a Kedi 3.5 inch SPi TFTLCD display off amazon

When I plug it in and boot the screen is white

On the back of the board it says;

KeDei
3.5 inch SPI TFTLCD
480*320 16bit/18bit
version 6.2 2016/6/1

Does anyone know how to get this running? My Pi is running Raspbian with all latest updates:

Code: Select all

uname -a
Linux raspberrypi 4.4.14-v7+ #896 .......

I tried a solution on another tutorial and my monitor stopped working, so I had to log in through the VNC and undo everything I did!

I read the above link and it just confused the hell out of me. :P

I have an older version, 2.0, of this display labeled Kedei (could you please change the subject to Kedei?).

See here http://duinorasp.hansotten.com/3-5-lcd- ... liexpress/ with reference to the image I use for it.

Works fine, albeit with slow refresh rate.

You cant use the latest OS image, you have to run the image supplied by OSOYO, http://osoyoo.com/driver/rpiscreen.php or Kedei, http://kedei.net/raspberry/raspberry.html
