RPi3B won't boot (Red light only)

Hi,

I recently purchased the RPi3B *I am new to raspberry pi*, and I inserted the pre installed noobs sd card, plugged the compatible adapter (5v, 2.5A), HDMI etc and when I went to power it on I was greeted with only a red light, the green ACT light did not flash or even go on once.
Now I have searched this forum, youtube and a bunch of other places and nothing worked, these are some of the many things I have tried:
-Try different SD Card (used 2 other SanDisk ULTRA, flashed and imaged correctly)
-Try different powersupply used my 5v 2a mobile charger
-Changed config file to work with my monitor and TV
-I also used a different power socket for what that's worth XD

I have also contacted the seller for any help and he just went over the basic things like how to setup the SD card, and he claims that the chance of the unit being faulty is very low. He is a "trusted" eBay seller and sells around 5 units a day.

Can anyone help me before I ask for a refund?

What process did you use to flash the SD Cards, and which OS are you flashing? From the Boot Sticky, it's shows that a solid red with no activity is most likely an SD card / Image problem. Did you check the SHA1 hash of the file you downloaded?

I used SDFormatter to format the SD and Win32DiskImager to write the image file. I have tried NOOBS v1.9.2 (Just extract to SD root), 2016-05-27 Raspbian Jessie and also tried Retropie v3.8.1 for rpi2-3.
