I've been running my pi in cli for a few days now and have done quite a bit of installation and the like. I have not modified anything which I thought would affect the gui, however when I typed "startx" the desktop came up, but the bar at the top had no icons on it, and I could not interact with it at all. When I tried shutting down, it did not progress past the dhcpcd message.
What can I do to try to get my desktop working normally again?
