Smart Phone Apps?

Hello everyone,

I'm a noob to the RaspPi 3 and was wondering if it is possible to make smartphone apps on the Raspberry Pi? If so, where may I start?

i.e.
Windows (using raspPi's Visual Studio)
Apple
Android

It is probably possible. But probably also much more difficult and troublesome than it is worth. My advice would be to stick with one of the recognised and supported platforms for developing Android apps.
