kodi exits only with ''kill -9'

Hello got my first pi and loving it. Just one issue with kodi not exiting.

Device: pi 3
OS: raspbian.xfce
Ran sudo update and upgrage , dist-upgrade
Kodi Version: tried default raspbian version and 16.1 from another repo.

PROBLEM: Kodi doesn't exit without ssh'ing and kill -9 pid. Also doesn't allow minimizing (\) or alt-tab! I have installed the keymap-addon to change these keys, tried using kodi-standalone etc, but the issue persists..

Could it be a xfce issue ? I have a feeling kodi ain't at fault here, but nor should be the pi.

Any thing else I can try

Figured out the culprit - My TV, Or the CEC link between my tv and kodi.

WHen I turn off my tv then a few seconds later kodi turns off as well. So I guess, its about some buggy implementation of CEC in my TV/libcec.

Can there be any solution for this ?
