NOOBS Lite custom OS version

Wed Jun 15, 2016 8:17 am

Hi all,

I would like to configure NOOBS lite to download and boot some other OS than Raspi.
Can anyone guide me?
I found NOOBS source with explanation how to do it in standard version on https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs
Thank you.

NOOBS only downloads operating systems in http://downloads.raspberrypi.org/os_list_v3.json.

You should either provide your own archive with the relevant os/ files or compile your own version of NOOBS with this line changed https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/bl ... nfig.h#L25

If you simply want to install a 'standard' supported OS other than Raspbian, connect your RPi to an working wired ethernet port on a network with internet access. You can also use a WiFi connection with an RPi3 or if using the 'official' wifi dongle.

If you want to prepare your own customised version of an OS, is there any reason to think that the documentation you have referenced does not apply to your circumstances?

Edit: this largely replicates what @shiftplusone already said - being a Moderator he types faster than I can... Left here as evidence that this is more than one person's opinion.
