First time setting up, wifi not connecting

Thu May 19, 2016 3:43 am

So as expected something always goes wrong, simple as this, I have Pi 3 model B with onboard wifi, I click on the connectivity button that says I'm not connected, I select my wifi network, enter my wifi password, and nothing happens. I do it again and nothing, no errors, but I'm not connected to the internet.

Another question my language of choice is c++, is this a good choice for the Pi? (Not a good choice of language, I just want to know how well it's supported overall, if not I'll finally have an excuse to learn python)

1. Change your network so the SSID is not hidden.
2. Change your network to use WPA or WPA2 security (NOT WEP)
3. Click connect
4. Grab a beer
5. Party all night
