I disassembled an old Mac PowerBook from like 2007 since the screen blew out a few years ago and possibly some other things. The Mac wifi is sold as can be plus has BT tied into it - the board slides into a port that has some use ports a power connection as well as some full size USB connections as well as the mic and speakers. Ideally I would like to use the air book wifi because of coverage as well as bt and other perfs but with different voltages and current it may seem like and issue. I am pairing this set up with the Mac cam and mic and speaker combo at a min. If I was to cut the jumpers and place them on pins, would they all go to analog? I am using a pi zero for this set up to tie into my home automation system since the Touchscreens also have intercom/face chat. This one will most likely be a wall mount unit rather then a device in carrying like a pad. Since the PowerBook connection is like a ninetendo tape I may just use it elsewhere. The TS being used is a 9in sainsmart which has the regular PI pin out on back so not sure which will be active or if all will not be or maybe I'll luck out and all will work. I imagine the Wifi and Bt will be hard to use from the Mac although the distance is nice. If I wanted to to have a hard Ethernet connection how do you recommend? The distance isn't far so taking apart a wifi isn't an option and adding some USB ports would be be nice as well. What do you think the best way to get this working how I would like? Also the PI is 5v 2A ans the TS i think is 10v. If I was to make a 10v power supply and make one portion regulated at 5v what is the max current to make sure everything is as poweful as it should be. The portable version will probably use a 3 or 2 (since the wifi and Bt sounds not so hot) and I also plan on using joysticks also so it's a media device as well. Any help is appreciated
