Hello,
I'm new to the RPi, and have just set up my first (RP3). I have it up and running (after finding a way to online to format my 64gb card as FAT32!), but am now having a frustrating wireless problem.
I see from Googling that many other users are having problems in this area, so I've followed all the advice I can find.
My specific problem is that I can see my wireless network, click on it via the icon at the top of the Raspbian screen, enter the access key, hit DONE then....nothing. No error, no connection notification and - most importantly - no web access when testing it in the browser. It seems from some beginners forums that I should receive some indication that I have successfully connected.
It's worth pointing out the following:
1. I can connect fine via an Ethernet cable.I
2. My Wireless is on channel 11 (not 12 or 13), though I have tried other channels to no effect
3. I have followed all the software and driver update advice I can find online ( sudo apt-get update / sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get upgrade / sudo reboot ) and everything seemed to run, but it made no difference
Is there anything else I can try on the RPi3, or does the problem likely lie with incompatible router security settings? I've read some comments about WPA/WEP/PSK etc., so tried a few different options, but again, nothing seemed to work.
HELP!
Many thanks in advance, and for accepting me into the fold (I look forward to a long Pi future!)
