Flight controller?

Is it possible to use the PI as a flight controller on rc aircraft, Quadcopters etc. The reason is because I have seen some PI products such as the gps expansion board and not to mention some of the products that are relative to PI is Arduino, pixhawk? etc? I would certainly be nice to have a computer flight controller for the rc community. If proven it would go over VERY well.

Yep, just google "Raspberry Pi Drone" and you'll see some projects out there, and there's even what appears to be a third-party autopilot product at https://emlid.com
