RasPi image for LCD

Thu May 05, 2016 2:17 pm

Where can I find a Raberry Pi 3 image to install, ready for 3.2" LCD display ?
I went through several tutorials and ended up with device not able to boot up anymore.

That depends on exactly which LCD screen you have.

thanks for replying
When I ordered the screen I though it will be much easier to configure it. Later I noticed there are lots of steps to take.... and many tutorials are confusing (even to IT guy).

the screen I ordered from BangGod and it is 3.5" TFT 480x320 v2.0

When you buy obscure hardware you are forever dependent on the seller to provide updates or images each time hardware or major OS changes are made.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.

I assume you are talking about LCD screens that use the GPIO (mostly SPI).
The RPF does not provide images that are ready to use with these screens out of the box.
It would be almost impossible, since there are quite a few different screens, that all have their own setup, drivers, etc.

The manufacturer / distributor / seller will have to provide these (or at least decent documentation on how to install and use the screens).

The screen came with no documentation. I bought it in BANGGOD.COM
Since I have resolution parameters it should not be that hard to configure but so far all docs and manuals explaining steps are crappy. I'm not the only person having issues here. I followed 2 tutorials so far and none of them worked.
