PRC is the People Republic of Chinafreebil wrote:Yes, I know! But the raspberrys from china, I saw in the back of the box that it shows "Made in PRC", not "Made in China".
OIC it's just normal I thinkfreebil wrote:Yes, I know! But mine has "made in China" and the others "made in PRC". Maybe it is absolutely normal, but I asked anyway. Thanks!
Why does it matter? All raspberries are made equal.freebil wrote:Yes, I know! But mine has "made in China" and the others "made in PRC". Maybe it is absolutely normal, but I asked anyway. Thanks!
Noticed the same thing. I've got a lot of Element 14 boards, but bought an RS/Allied board just so I could have one that was made in the UK. Might buy more of the RS boards. Micro-center sells both.mi7chy wrote:I've been buying the RS/Allied Electronics version and they've all been Made in UK so far. Element14 is supposedly all Made in PRC.
That is wrong. I have an element14 pi3 and the box clearly say "Made in UK"mi7chy wrote:I've been buying the RS/Allied Electronics version and they've all been Made in UK so far. Element14 is supposedly all Made in PRC.

I bought the first RPi3 from Adafruit and the box and board both say "Made in UK".
About 3 weeks later I bought another RPi3 from MCM, and the box and board for that one both say "Made in PRC". So I have one PRC, one UK.
It doesn't matter what it says on the box. What does it say on the board itself?Rive wrote:That is wrong. I have an element14 pi3 and the box clearly say "Made in UK"
Same as the box....'UK'mi7chy wrote:It doesn't matter what it says on the box. What does it say on the board itself?Rive wrote:That is wrong. I have an element14 pi3 and the box clearly say "Made in UK"
