need help choosing an sd card and a usb gamepad

ok so im new to the raspberry pi. plan to use it for emulation and play go get the PI2 or pi 3 and im wondering what sd card size and speed do u recommend i buy also what usb game pad do u recommend link me ot any site if u can thanks

for SD Card I would stick with a good name brand. Samsung and Sandisk com out on top. there is more on the subject here.

I don't know much about the controller part of it, I know people use all types of controllers some take more effort to work then others.
