Solid red and green lights after shutdown

Sun Apr 10, 2016 8:23 pm

Hello,
Is having solid red and green lights after shutdown normal on the Raspberry Pi 3? Trivial question, however I'm unable to find any information on the topic. I just want to be 100% sure that my system is behaving as expected.

Thanks

Normal. Green light is solid/steady when pi3 shutdown, but power is still beingsupplied to pi3 (red light).

If at ANY time, the red light is not steady/blinks, you have undervoltage issues (if it is off, there is no voltage at all).

I usually wait till the green light is solid/unblinking before I completely power down pi3 via on/off switch.

this changed with the pi3 ? I notice a steady green now -- seems to me the pi2 green led extinguished

Yes, the LEDs are no longer controlled purely by GPIOs; they are connected with an expander.
