help me choose a browser

Fri Apr 08, 2016 10:14 am

I hate the "web" (formerly known as epiphany) browser... it crashes frequently and never remembers my password on some sites, even though the dialogue pops up asking me if I want to store the password.
On top of that streamed movies off youtube run terrible and glitchy, far worse quality than on window.
I have installed midori.. which isn't much of an improvement. Although it seems to operate a bit faster, it still crashes and doesn't remember passwords (this one doesn't even ask me to remember a password)
Not tested with streaming.
All I want is something that's stable, remembers passwords and streams youtube videos.

I use Google Chrome (Chromium) browser on Raspbian Jessie.

Streams YouTube ok in normal & theatre mode (long as you don't set it for hd (auto 360p/480p), and gpu memory is 264mb)

With my RPi-youtube youtube installed, youtube videos run locally and much smoother on Chromium.
There are 10 types of people: those who understand binary and those who don't.
