Is it possible to receive FM radio on the Raspberry Pi with no add on boards? If so, how?

I am not asking about sending FM radio signals, but receiving them. Is there any way at all to receive them through, say, a GPIO pin?Rive wrote:See: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=138134

What bands? Is it just the regular 88-108MHz commercial radio bands?Kratos wrote:Ummm...FM radio signals.

I am fairly certain the OP is not referring to building/using a software defined radio for like intercepting/hacking security systems that would use something like the 345 MHz radio freq....DougieLawson wrote:What bands? Exactly, it is NOT possible without extra hardware, unless the OP means internet streaming.Rive wrote: I think the OP is simply asking if the pi3 can pickup OTA radio station broadcasts in the FM range (like a car radio or Walkman does).
And the answer is 'No'.
