Cannot create Password

$ sudo raspi-config

Change User Password

Enter new UNIX password: - "White block appears but it wont let me type anything/ wont accept keyboard inputs. I even tried the passwd command and it still wont allow any keyboard inputs.

That's normal. Nothing will show when you type in your password as a security measure.

Set up password.
Rebooted and does not ask for a password to log in? When should the password promptly come in place? Logging in?

The default is boot without password.
If you want to change that then sudo raspi-config or use the GUI Raspberry pi Config tool in Preferences menu.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.
