[Solved] Kodi and VC error | Black Screen

Tue Mar 29, 2016 11:57 am

Hi,

I have a playback error with VC using Raspbian and Kodi 16.0 (also in 15.2). When I try to play IPTV and some MKV videos, Kodi only shows a black screen and logs the following errors:

I don't use the new Raspberry video driver. My kernel is 4.5
Could anyone help me fixing it? Thanks in advance.

You are using an experimental kernel and firmware, obviously. Try with stable kernel/firmware.
How large is your GPU memory?
Minimal Kiosk Browser (kweb)
Slim, fast webkit browser with support for audio+video+playlists+youtube+pdf+download
Optional fullscreen kiosk mode and command interface for embedded applications
Includes omxplayerGUI, an X front end for omxplayer

Thanksss!!!!! I cannot understand why I didn't realize.
gpu_mem=192 in /boot/config.txt and a firmware update fixed my problem.
