Hi

I have just set up my Pi for the first time, used SD Formatter 4.0, copied the Noobs files and when I switched on the Pi I got the same Error.

"Error resizing existing FAT partition
Error: The FATs don't match. If you don't know what this means, then select cancel, run scandisk on the file system and then come back"

I cancelled and it just keeps searching for an OS, I ran a chkdsk and found no errors. I reformatted and copied the files across (about 5 times now  using both Mac and Windows downloads on different machines - nb the windows version doesnt do anything at all on boot up)

Can anyone help please?

Thanks
Joel

Just use Windows diskpart "clean" command instead of formatting.

Make sure sdcard is sufficent size (you can get a 32GB UHS-1/HC-1 micro sdcard for like $12)

Also, you don't have to use NOOBS (which only contains Raspbian jessie anyways, everything else is just a download link). You can simply download the OS image/ install it to sdcard using diskimager.
