Overwriting my SD card

I have put all the wheezy files onto my sd card it is not working so i want to try writing them again. but then ill have 2 lots of files how do i do it so there is only 1 set of files. Window cant format the card as only linux can read most of it. help please

When you write another image it will overwrite the existing one. The previous files will be gone.

If you are using dd or Win32DiskImage you can read your old files to a new image name before you write the new set then if you want to back track you can use that as your own personalised image.
