Base Station and Chase Car Trackers

Hi;

I am starting to gain better understanding of what is required to run a HAB project and have just been looking at base station and chase car equipment.

Of the two recommended scanners in Dave Akerman's PITS manual the Yupiteru MVT-7100 is selling for about £120 and an SDR (Funcube) is £150 from Radio World.
Are these the right sort of prices?

So far a scanner, USB SDR, PITS board and a Pi I am up to £431 already ?
