Raspberry Pi Zero - wireless keyboard/mouse (Logitech MK270)

Wed Mar 16, 2016 7:21 am

Hey everyone,

I can't get my wireless keyboard combo to work with the Raspberry Pi Zero. I'm using Logitech MK270.
On the list of verified devices here: http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals it's listed as working without the power hub. Also, on this forum many people mentioned that it works.

I've read somewhere that you're supposed to pair it on a PC before trying with the Pi, so I did that (i.e. I've plugged the USB dongle to a PC, and the keyboard and mouse were working - I guess it's paired).

So I'm assuming that the keyboard/mouse combo should work with the Pi. But it doesn't. Does anyone one know what the issue may be?

Could the fact that I'm using a Raspberry Pi Zero make a difference? E.g. does it not give enough current for the USB dongle to work, or something like that?

Has anyone been able to get a wireless keyboard/mouse to work with the Raspberry Pi Zero?

As for the OS, I'm using the latest version of Raspbian.

The similar K400 works fine on a Zero. No configuration required.

What kind of cable do you use between the mini usb of the zero and the USB dongle?
Can you check if the cable with a non-wireless keybaord and/or mouse works?

I use cheap OTG cables and unpowered hubs, no issues there.
