So now to my problem. I am getting this audio system and I need to know the easiest way to hook it into my raspberry pi.

As for my PI, I dont know which one it is. It was given to me and sat on my shelf for several months before I had the time to get around to do something with it. It has a SD card slot(not micro), 2 usb ports(2.0 I believe), an Ethernet port, HDMI, and a standard phone charger to power it. It has a blue and yellow female port(I have no idea what either one is)
So now I have told you what my problem is and shown my complete lack of knowledge, I will tell you what my project is. I want to hook these speakers to my PI and use them for sound. I am going to be putting XMBC on the SD card, and all my media files on an external 1TB usb 2.0 hard drive. It will be playing music, and videos, although primarily music.
Again I am a complete noob, and will be relying VERY heavily on this article here for installing XMBC. Any help would be VASTLY appreciated. I would like to keep this project under $50, however I could go as high as $70. The only thing I have is the PI. I still need to buy the speakers so please keep that in mind if you recommend hardware or software that costs money.

Optionally, although much preferred, is to in the future be able to stream over Bluetooth or something like that to a tablet.
Thank you for reading my issue, and doubly thank you if you deem to help me and use your Linux Magic
