Pi 3 WiFi wierdness

Tue Mar 08, 2016 10:14 pm

I can get my Pi 3 on my local wireless network using the icon at top-right. Magic. Problem is that the wireless router (Cisco Linksys E2000) doesn't list the Pi in the DHCP client table. All other wired and wireless connections are listed - I can see their names, MAC addresses and IP addresses. To allocate a fixed IP address, I pick the one I'm interested in and just tell the router what fixed address I want allocated in future. The Pi 3 WiFi connection gets allocated an IP address, but nothing with that IP address is listed in the client table. The Pi's wired connection is visible. Why can't I see the wireless connection?
