HAT

Tue Mar 08, 2016 10:49 am

Hi

I've obviously been asleep for the past 4 years. HAT has crept into the Pi vernacular and, while it is obviously an acronym , I have never seen HAT defined.

The same applies to the Arduino Shield. I've never dabbled with that branch of electronics as it has always seemed overpriced, so have not heard where shield came from either.

Can anyone enlighten me please?

Cheers

Chris

Thanks Massi. That's one acronym I would probably never have come up with especially as the "on" is elided. :-)
