Sun Mar 06, 2016 3:31 pm

Playing with my new Pi 3 and I just read about PiStore
I typed the line that it said should install it

sudo apt-get update && apt-get install pistore

It goes through all its down loading and reading packages etc but ends with

Reading package lists... Done
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package pistore
pi@Dons_Pi_3:~ $

What am I doing wrong ?

The Pi Store no longer exists. You can access the entire Raspbian Jessie repository via the desktop GUI via Menu - Preferences - Add / Remove Software.
Pi2B Mini-PC/Media Centre: ARM=1GHz (+3), Core=500MHz, v3d=500MHz, h264=333MHz, RAM=DDR2-1200 (+6/+4/+4+schmoo). Sandisk Ultra HC-I 32GB microSD card on '50=100' OCed slot (42MB/s read) running Raspbian/KODI16, Seagate 3.5" 1.5TB HDD mass storage.
