We used a PI and the SainSmart Fish-eye lens as a timelapse camera a construction site. We are mostly happy with it, although the focus is blurry around the edges, which we expected.

Here's a link to a timelapse using the fish-eye so you can see the results first hand.

Hope this helps.

Does anyone have any more detailed specs for the lens that comes with this camera? The website is very vague regarding the lens. I would like to know the focal length and f-stop. I would also like to know the physical dimensions of the lens (inner and outer diameters of lens part and housing). I have tried contacting Sainsmart, but they don't seem to understand my question. They say that the lens is changeable. Yes, I know the lens is changeable, but what are the specs of the lens that the camera comes with?
