Well, I didn't do much for this, but I made ubuntu MATE noobs installable.
I wanted a dual boot OSMC and ubuntu MATE as I want to make a kodi distro based off ubuntu. Anyways, I made ubuntu mate noobs bootable and decided to share it with everyone. As this was originally for personal use, it shows up in noobs as OSMC for rp2.
unzip the archive and drop the files into the noobs os folders.

This fine seems empty.
As after xz i am not seeing any file under ubuntu-mate.tar.
Can you upload working file?
