That is because it can't be done.
AFAIK there is no "Android-emulator" available for Raspbian.

If you download the SDK for Android there is an "Android emulator" letting people test their program during development but I think that is x86/amd64 platform only.

How would I recompile an app?
I think it would be great if it was possible to play Clash of Clans on my Raspberry Pi 2. Here is the .apk link:
http://rigel.androidapksfree.com/habu/c ... -4.0.3.apk

Is it even possible to play it on the pi? I have no idea whatsoever as to how to do such a thing...

Kratos
I have posted mostly with a Pi 2 running either Ubuntu MATE, or Raspbian.

unless you have the source you're not going to be able to ,
we're asking the OP which app so a suggestion can be made as another way of doing it

I agree. Personally, I would rather run Raspbian, and have a program to run Android apps installed, than to have Android installed on my pi. Just my 2 cents.

The fact that in four years nobody has replied should be a hint.

Even though they are using a similar kernel, Android is NOT the same OS as Linux, and it will probably never be possible to run Android applications on Linux.

This is just wishful thinking and a pipe-dream.

But then, what do I know....

It definitely is linux at it's core, but cross compatibility is very difficult, if not impossible.
