Larger touch screen

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a plan to come out with an 8" or larger version of the official touch screen.

I think it has been considered.

But the RPF no longer announces new products until they are ready for sale. They may have plans, they may not...

I think they got fed up with people asking when the screen was going to be ready, and there were unexpected setbacks which delayed the date by many months.

Back when the 7" display was being worked on, there was some loose talk about having a 10" screen following it. I have no idea if that is even contemplated now, as *adding* a new product in a series is something the RPF almost never talks about (the people behind the RPF are almost paranoid about encountering the Osbourne Effect). So...if a larger screen is being developed, we won't know until one of three things happen: 1. the device is launched, 2. Eben slips and mentions it, or 3. a distributor puts it on their website early.

Personally, I would be quite happy to see an official RPF 10" screen show up, but I'm not going to worry about it in the mean time.
