Transmission-daemon problems

Sat Feb 13, 2016 4:59 pm

Hi everyone, I hope to be in the right section.
Last week I tried to install transmission-deamon, but I think that the guide I followed was written for Raspbian Wheezy, in fact transmission-daemon didn't start. Then I tried to solve the problem following this guide http://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-torrentbox/ (but I didn't uninstall transmission, I just did what I didn't do before).
Now it works, but it does not connect to the web interface if I don't restart it every time I turn on my raspberry, and it crashes very often (it remains active, but disconnects from the web interface). My download directories are on an external usb drive (just 8 gb for the moment), and I can't use the watch directory even though I set it in settings.json.
Should I reinstall raspbian and follow the second guide from the beginning? My raspberry is new, so I wouldn't lose anything.
Thank you

Try that or try an rtorrent guide.
