Internet On raspberry pi

Sun Feb 07, 2016 8:13 pm

So , I've this raspberry pi and i want it to connect it to internet headless.
i saw some tutorials in which they said to do this :

network and sharing -> my wifi adapter - > properties - > turned on sharing.

connected raspberry pi to the laptop went to network and sharing went to "ethernet." and turned on radio button " obtain ip address automatically " .

inspite of doing this i am not getting anything assigned to the ethernet port.
what should i do. which address i should use in putty.

also,
when i edit the cmdline file in raspberry pi i am able to login but i cant access internet at that time.

please help.

There is no need to change any settings in Raspbian installed (with out using NOOBS) on the RPi..

Internet Connection Sharing needs to be properly configured in whatever version of Windows is on the Laptop
Rather than negativity think outside the box !
RPi 4B 4GB (SSD Boot) RaspiOS64 ARM64
Asus ChromeBox 3 Celeron is my other computer...
